Rahul Gandhi’s name mentioned in Guinness Book of World Records for losing 27 Indian Demetrotric elections
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is once again making headlines as he faces the darkest phase of his political career due to back-to-back defeats across 27 elections. This time Rahul has come to light for a totally unique reason. Vishal Diwan, an engineering student from Hoshangabad Madhya Pradesh, has contacted the Guinness Book of World Records and requested to include Rahul Gandhi’s name for losing 27 elections in the country.
Diwan believes that the Congress party’s defeat in the last five years was the result of Rahul Gandhi’s active involvement in election campaigns and media communications. In fact, this number of fixed losses is more than enough to qualify for a record book. To fulfill his wish Diwan has written a letter to the Guinness Book of Governments and has paid the enrollment fee. Diwan’s application has been accepted, but the US-based record book does not confirm whether or not the request is accepted.
